About Michael

People come to Yoga for many different reasons. For me it was through the deterioration of my own health and vitality that the practice was recommended by a close friend back in 2007. Since this time I have become a passionate practitioner, encompassing the philosophy of Yoga within all areas of my life.

Through deep learning and personal practice I have developed and integrated this beautiful ancient tradition of bodywork, breath, mindfulness and stillness into my own routine and this continues to support a rich, fulfilling and healthy lifestyle.

My classes offer a safe, friendly and warm environment to experience the beauty of Yoga. They are built to empower people to find their own inner wisdom and reconnect to their intuitive movement and energy. Whether your intention is to increase your flexibility, relieve stress, and improve your strength, Yoga offers something for everyone.

I have had the opportunity to study with some wonderful teachers through my Foundation Training with The British Wheel and then further studies with a 12 month Yoga Alliance teacher training programme through YogaLondon and Holly Warren. I have completed an in-depth Teacher/Facilitator Training for Yoga Nidra with Uma Dimsmmore-Tuli through Yoga Campus in London and my training with Ralf Marzen at the Mudita School of Thai Massage to become a fully qualified Thai Yoga Masseur.

The classes I offer are drawn from my own previous Ashtanga Practice, my Vinyasa Training and love of gentle Hatha, Yin and Slow Flow Yoga. Drawn together this forms a strong, deep and gentle practice. This breadth of knowledge and my own daily practice is brought to each student to offer a sound base for a quality and safe learning experience. I have a light hearted gentle approach to teaching and value everyone’s individuality and experience. I have a strong belief that by enabling people to become sensitive to the sounds and sensations of their own bodies and minds allows them to have a greater experience of life on and off of the Yoga mat.

Training and Experience

I am fully insured to internationally teach Yoga, Meditation and Pranayama and also deliver Thai Yoga, Deep Tissue, Swedish and Remedial Massage. I am also fully First Aid trained.
